IDLES have announced a homecoming Bristol Block Party slated for next year and marking their only UK gigs of 2025.
The Bristol punk group have taken to their official Instagram and shared that they will be headlining the Bristol Block Party, a two-night fest occurring on August 1 and 2. The two nights will see them take over Queen Square marking the first mass live music event at the site in over two decades.
IDLES are set to be joined by very special guests, DJs and the best of Bristol s street food and drink scene. Speaking about the events in the caption of their Instagram post, the band shared: “We are coming home. We re putting on a couple of parties in @queensquarebristol with music we love for the people we love. All is love x.”

Speaking about the event in a press release, Daniel Ealam and Scott O Neill promoters at Communion ONE who are putting on the shows said: We cannot wait to bring this event to Queen Square. IDLES released their fifth and latest studio album, Tangk , in February. In a four-star review, NME described the record as an adventure into pastures new .
Earlier this summer, IDLES headlined the Other Stage at Glastonbury 2024. NME gave the set a full five stars, calling it a truly incendiary show and a claim to headline the Pyramid in the future .
In other news, the band have been announced as performers of the 2025 edition of Primavera Sound. Other acts set to play at the Spaniard festival include LCD Soundsystem, FKA Twigs, HAIM, Jamie xx, Fontaines D.C., Beach House, Clairo, Turnstile and more.
