Snoop Dogg has revealed that Paul McCartney told him to not put out his blunt when the pair met each other.

During a new interview with Complex, Snoop “ who was speaking to the outlet alongside Dr. Dre “ recalled crossing paths with the Beatles icon for the first time at a live concert in Hollywood.

“I ve never met him before but I m a fuckin fan of the Beatles. I know Jimmy [Iovine] knows him, Dre knows him, Snoop remembered. So I m in the back smoking and they re like, ‘Sir Paul would like to meet you’. I m like, ˜Oh, for real? Hold on’.”

The rapper went on to say that he quickly “put the blunt out” in respect for Macca.

“[He] walks in the room like, ‘Don t put that down’,” Snoop continued. “He gives me a hug and he meets me, and it s like, ˜Fuck. Paul McCartney knows who the fuck Snoop Dogg is’.”

When the interviewer suggested that Snoop is equally as famous, he responded: “No, you’re not listening to me. Fuck who Snoop Dogg is! This is Paul McCartney, he knows who I am.”

Snoop added: “That s the experience that I love is when the people you respect, respect you. And that s only from doing quality shit.”

The rapper was then asked whether he’d be up for collaborating with McCartney, to which he replied: “Fuck yes, in a heartbeat. [McCartney and Stevie Wonder‘s] ‘Ebony And Ivory’, [Michael Jackson and McCartney’s] ‘The Girl Is Mine’… what do you wanna do?”

Earlier this year, photographs emerged of Snoop and McCartney backstage at a Jimmy Buffett tribute concert that took place at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, California in April. See the post below.

Snoop performed a live version of his classic single ‘Gin And Juice’ at the show, per Complex. Meanwhile, McCartney and The Eagles played a joint rendition of The Beatles ˜Let It Be .

Snoop and Dre were being interviewed by the publication about their forthcoming collaborative album, ‘Missionary’ “ which is expected to arrive in November. Watch the full video above.

Elsewhere, Dre said he doesn t “feel comfortable performing without” Snoop while talking about the duo’s relationship and “synergy”.

Snoop has recently been busy participating in NBC’s TV coverage of the Olympics 2024 in Paris “ where he also performed during the closing ceremony. It has since been reported that the rapper made $9million ( £6.9m) from the appearances.

Additionally, the rap star has opened his first marijuana dispensary in LA.

Snoop made headlines last year when he announced he was giving up smoke . However, the vow turned out to be a promotional stunt for his partnership with a brand of smokeless stoves.

In 2015, Paul McCartney revealed that he quit smoking weed to “set an example to my kids and grandkids”. He said at the time that he had cut out the drug “a long time ago”.
