Chris Brown has been sued for the alleged assault on a group of concertgoers.

Four concertgoers have filed a lawsuit against the musician in Harris County District Court on Monday (July 22), alleging that the singer and his crew “brutally and severely beat” them “without justifiable provocation”.

Brown and three other people – Sinko Seej, Omololu Akinlolu (AKA Hood Boss), and Markies Conway (AKA Yella Beezy) are named as defendants in the lawsuit. They are accused of assault and battery, along with negligence/gross negligence, and intentional infliction of emotional distress.

Larry Parker, Joseph Lewis, Charles Bush, and DaMarcus Powell claimed the assault took place after being invited into Brown’s VIP area at his concert in Fort Worth, Texas, along with 40 other women.

After Bush allegedly went to shake Brown’s hand to congratulate him on the show, Seej apparently reminded Brown that he and Bush were “beefing”. The lawsuit then claimed Brown told his crew to “fuck Plaintiff Bush up”. Though the plaintiffs tried to leave, Brown and “seven to 10” of his crew are said to have followed them, with one member allegedly punching Bush in the chest and another throwing a chair at his head.

Meanwhile, Brown was accused of commanding his crew to punch Parker “in the face and chest”, resulting in him being “kicked in the head for over ten minutes and stomped on” by Brown and his crew. Powell was claimed to have been punched in the shoulder, whilst Lewis alleged he was punched in the shoulder and chest. The lawsuit further claimed all four plaintiffs were undergoing medical treatment.

Live Nation, the promoter for Brown’s current tour, were also named as a defendant. The lawsuit accuses them of “shamelessly” profiting from Brown’s tour and failing to insure that the participates of the concert who may be around Brown, and his associates, were safe.

The concertgoers are seeking $50 million in damages, as well as a temporary restraining order against Brown and the three other defendants.  NME has reached out to Brown’s representatives and Live Nation for comment.

Meanwhile, Chris Brown has claimed he was uninvited from the NBA All-Star Celebrity Game.
