Patta has had a banner 2024, celebrating its 20th anniversary by collaborating with everyone from Nike to Converse, Stüssy, Marshall and Seun Kuti, (the son of Afrobeat pioneer Fela Kuti) as well as releasing its SS24 and FW24 collections. As the year draws to a close, the festivities are beginning to wind down — but not before Patta has wrangled up one last big collaboration: a linkup with Alpha Industries for a MA-1 "Celebration" bomber jacket.
The commemorative piece is fully reversible, with wearers having an option between shimmering silver and blaze orange sides. The silver side is the more boldly-branded of the two with a super-sized Patta logo across the shoulders, below which sits badges that nod to the store/brand's Amsterdam, London and Milan stores. Lagos, the latest city to receive a Patta store is acknowledged on the right sleeve, and a special "flight tag" on the left sleeve replaces its regular "Remove Before Flight" embellishment with a "Patta Got Love For All" hit. Though the blaze orange side is certainly not lacking for its own eye-catching flair thanks to its hi-vis hue, it keeps branding much more minimal with a small Patta hit on the left chest, below which sit four similarly-sized badges that nod to the Patta flagships. Besides the piece itself, Patta and Alpha Industries shot a campaign film, directed by Safi Graauw, that commemorates the unique energies of Amsterdam, London, Milan and Lagos.
The Patta x Alpha Industries MA-1 "Celebration" bomber jacket is available now, exclusively on the Patta webstore. It's priced at $230 USD.
