When you see B-A-A as three letters together, your mind may initially drift towards the sound that, in your early years, you were taught was made by a sheep. However, BAA is taking on a new meaning at the tail end of 2024: it's the moniker of a just-launched brand that prides itself on creating high-quality cotton basics, simple garments created by skillful technique.
Formerly known as Bel-Air Athletics, a Will Smith-backed brand inspired in part by The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air (Smith is not involved with the relaunch), BAA offers crewnecks, hoodies, tees, bodysuits, shorts, sweats, underwear and socks in foundational black, grey and white colors. Its debut collection will arrive in three waves, one called "Everyday," the other "Core" and the final "Saint Perre." BAA's no-frills garments were first seen on Washington Wizards forward Kyle Kuzma — fittingly, as Kuzma recently announced he was retiring from the "tunnel fit" game and would instead wear sweatsuits — and the brand claims that 30,000 hours, or just under three and a half years, went into the process of perfecting the fit and feel of every piece.
If you're looking to get your hands on BAA's expansive array of fleece garments, you can do so via the brand's soon-to-launch webstore starting December 23.
