and were all smiles on Thursday, December 18, when they were spotted walking together in Brooklyn.
The couple was photographed on a street corner in New York City’s most populous borough, looking lovingly at each other and appearing to share a laugh. Williams, 44, wore a long overcoat with a black bag and sunglasses, while Kail, 47, wore blue jeans and a jacket to go with his baseball cap and backpack.
Originally hailing from Montana, Williams has long been a major player in the Brooklyn real estate scene. She and Kail purchased a $10.8 million townhouse in Brooklyn Heights in 2020 and she owns a number of other properties around the borough.
She previously purchased a $3.6 million Boerum Hill townhouse in 2005 with her late partner r, which she sold for $8.8 million in 2014.
Williams also made headlines in September 2024 when she put her Prospect Heights mansion up for rent. She asked for $35,000 per month for the 6,500-square-foot property, which boasts eight bedrooms and six bathrooms.
Williams and Kail have kept their relationship relatively private since they first met on the set of FX miniseries Fosse/Verdon. Both were in separate relationships at the time and kept things quiet at the beginning as it was “messy behind the scenes,” a source told Us Weekly in 2020.
The two married in secret in early 2020, and their union only became public when they were spotted wearing matching wedding rings. Us later confirmed they had, in fact, tied the knot. That June, the couple welcomed their first child together, a son named Hart.
“It was a reminder that life goes on,” she told Variety of having a baby amid the COVID-19 pandemic. “The world we brought a baby into is not the world we thought we were bringing a baby into, but the baby is ignorant of that. He experiences the unmitigated joy of discovery and the happiness of a loving home.”
Williams and Kail welcomed another baby in 2022, though they did not reveal the name or sex.
“It’s totally joyous. As the years go on, you sort of wonder what they might hold for you or not hold for you,” she said. “It’s exciting to discover that something you want again and again, is available one more time. That good fortune is not lost on me or my family.”
Williams is also mom to daughter Matilda, 18, whom she shared with Ledger.
