As tight-lipped as brands are about sneaker releases, more rumors are spread than ever, especially surrounding the scene's biggest brands like Nike. Rather than simply let these reports run wild, the Swoosh has stepped in to control the narrative more by launching its SNKRS Showcase series. It began in October of 2023 with a livestream that highlighted over 30 unseen releases that would later land on shelves. A sequel was then hosted at Paris Fashion Week in June of this year, unveiling another batch of styles for both 2024 and 2025. Now, Nike has decided to present a second edition for the year as we prepare to enter 2025, spotlighting 20 sneakers to come in the next year. It has again grouped these products by collection, starting with two women's-exclusive silhouettes that it discussed earlier this season.
The Women's Sportswear Collection
The all-new Air Max Muse was teased in September and later unveiled in November as a fresh take on the Air Max line -- providing modern style with its futuristic build. Depicted here in its debut "Metallic Silver" colorway, the sneaker was originally developed through computational design and will see a global launch take place in early 2025. A returning style for ladies is the Air Superfly. Revealed to be returning by Sha'Carri Richardson, the 2001 design offers a low profile shape that has its DNA in running but will now serve as another style-oriented lifestyle look for women. Look out for both the Air Max Muse and Air Superfly to kick off the new year with a bang as both sneakers are set to drop in Nike's Spring 2025 range.
The Cult Classics Collection
Another set of "Cult Classics" have been prepared by the Swoosh for Spring/Summer 2025, starting with the Air Tech Challenge II -- a tennis sneaker famously worn by Andre Agassi that has seen many reissues since first releasing in 1989. Hot off of the return of the "Hot Lava" colorway (with a new twist put on it), the Air Tech Challenge II is due to drop in "Stone Blue" and "Racer Pink" colorways. Its partner silhouette from the collection is the Air Diamond Turf, a cross-training shoe from the '90s that will be returning in its red, white and black "Atlanta" presentation.
The Look of Field Collection
Nike has revisited its "Look of Field" range from June, detailing additional looks involving the Total 90 III and the Gato. Both silhouettes were previewed as returning designs previously and we now have a better idea of what to expect from each. The Total 90 III will don "Bordeaux," "Safety Orange" and "Metallic Gold" colorways next year while the Gato takes on shimmering looks of its own in "Metallic Silver" and "Metallic Gold," with both pairs set to drop in the summer of 2025.
The Nike SB Collection
The Nike SB team has many rumored releases that are being anticipated for next year -- from more SB Dunk Low collaborations to another Air Jordan 4 project. However, its lone shoe it previewed in this SNKRS Showcase is a return of Paul Rodriguez's first pro model: the Air Zoom Paul Rodriguez 1. Lifted straight from 2005, the brand will be celebrating its 20th anniversary with this original "White/Black" composition.
The Outdoors Collection
Another silhouette returning to the SNKRS Showcase series is the ACG Rufus. It appeared as part of the franchise's debut last year and has dropped in many different colorways since. Look out for it to touch down in "Bold Berry" and "Armory Blue" this coming spring alongside another blast from the past -- the return of the Aqua Turf. Having released as part of the Aqua Gear line from the early '90s, the Aqua Turf finds itself being readied for a major return next year, with these pink and black pairs serving as some of the leading looks for the slip-on.
The Air Max Collection
The final segment of the third-ever SNKRS Showcase highlights key Air Max releases that will be taking place in 2025. Leading the charge is the Air Max 95, which is due to return in its original form for another re-release of the "Neon" colorway in celebration of the silhouette's 30th anniversary. From there, the Air Max Plus -- a shoe that has been particularly common in recent years -- is set to drop in a bold "Hyper Blue" rendition. 2001's Air Max Craze is rumored to be featured in a new collaboration between the Swoosh and Martine Rose and is also due to drop as a general release in women's sizing. Lastly, the Air Max 1 remains a focal point of the brand's lifestyle lineups and has been prepared in a new "Valentine's Day"-themed colorway. Stay tuned for updates regarding all of these shoes and more as we get ready to dive into another exciting year.
