CONCEPT(K) and CAMPERLAB have united for the "Stone Grey" Tossu, rooted in their shared affinity for forward-thinking design processes. CAMPERLAB's zero-waste, glue-free model is reimagined in CONCEPT(K)'s signature concrete-inspired palette, reflecting the studio's appreciation of raw materials and industrial textures.
The final result has a unique sculptural character, led by the asymmetrical molded rubber cage and fragmented eyelet system. With an innovative direct injection process, the sole and the uppers are fused utilizing no glues and yielding no waste. A sock constructed with 3d-knitting methods also contributes to the zero-waste ethos of the design with an added benefit in using recycled polyester.
Ultramodern and minimalist in its content, while conscious and meticulous in its context–the shoe is a direct reflection of the spirits of both brands. Both CONCEPT(K) and CAMPERLAB hold a unique position in the footwear market, serving up design-focused sneakers without relying on excessive spectacle. By opting for a pared-back color palette, the collaborative Tossu emphasizes the unique processes involved in its development and manufacturing.
