Jeremy Allen White is making his debut in the Star Wars universe in the upcoming The Mandalorian & Grogu film.
Variety confirms that The Bear actor will voice Rotta the Hutt, the slug-like son of crime lord Jabba the Hutt. The Mandalorian & Grogu is set to take place after the events of Return of the Jedi, which saw Carrie Fisher's Princess Leia strangle him to death. As revealed in The Book of Boba Fett spinoff series, two of Jabba's cousin attempted to gain control of his territory following his death, but were ultimately defeated and kicked out by Boba Fett (Temuera Morrison) himself. With Rotta making an appearance, and possibly even an attempt at taking over his father's territory, Boba and Fennec Shand (Ming-Na Wen) could also join the film.
The Mandalorian series creator Jon Favreau is set to helm the film, co-writing the screenplay alongside Ahsoka's Dave Filoni. Pedro Pascal will reprise his role as Din Djarin/The Mandalorian/Mando, with Sigourney Weaver joining the cast is an unconfirmed role. Grogu a.k.a. Baby Yoda will also, of course, appear in the film.
The Mandalorian & Grogu premieres May 22, 2026.
