A source confirmed to Us Weekly that Siwa, 21, and Wilson, 19, parted ways but “still care about one another and wish each other the best.” Siwa recently attended the 11th Annual American Reality Television Awards where she was asked about her holiday plans with Wilson.
“We have gone our separate ways, but she is an amazing girl,” Siwa told People on Monday, November 18. “And I got my own fun holiday plans, and I know she’s got her family that she’s spent the holidays with.”
Siwa said she was “happy” that Wilson was spending time with her loved ones. The news of Siwa and Wilson’s breakup comes shortly after they made their relationship official in August. Siwa shared an Instagram video at the time of her telling a studio dance class that she had a girlfriend.
“Cats outta the bag 😺,” Siwa captioned the video, which Wilson reposted, writing, “Surprise shawtyyyyy 😽.”
One month later, Siwa exclusively told Us that she has had conversations with Wilson about starting a family.
“She is on board. Obviously, we’re both very young and she’s even younger than I am — she’s just about to turn 19,” she revealed. “She was always like, ‘Oh, yeah, kids are going to be so fun to have.’ That was when we were first talking, and now obviously that we’re more serious, it is definitely a more serious conversation. I’m like, ‘We’ll get married and then we’ll visit that.’”
Siwa also explained why she was initially hesitant about publicly sharing her romance with Wilson, adding, “After my last super public relationship, I was very set on no more public relationships, and I kept that.”
The Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test alum dated off and on between early 2021 and August 2022.
She continued: “I had a relationship that I didn’t keep public. Then I had a few people that I talked to that I didn’t keep public. It was good, that was fine. All of a sudden, once I fell for Dakayla, I was like, ‘Wait, this is what it feels like.’ And I didn’t care anymore about it being public or not.”
Siwa found herself feeling “so secure” with Wilson. “She was actually very open about her crush on me,” Siwa recalled about the early days of their relationship. “We have these cutie little promise rings. Hers is engraved with something and mine’s engraved with ‘Forever Crush.’”
