Seiko has quietly introduced a new Prospex Speedtimer starring a fierce, “Factory Red” dial.
Drawing inspiration from the retro and classic aesthetics of European cars from the ‘60s, the new reference’s dial arrives in a dark and moodier variant of the classic red. This is paired with a matte-finished plate, while the orange central seconds hand pays tribute to the speedometers found in vintage cars.
Geared with the V192 solar-powered movement, the timepiece is equipped with a 6-month power reserve after a full charge. Its stainless steel build boasts a case size of 39mm, which comes accompanied by a matching steel bracelet as well as an additional leather strap.
With only 2,400 examples made, the Seiko Prospex Speedtimer in Factory Red will be released in December as a European-region exclusive. Retailing for £730 GBP (approx. $943 USD), the watch is currently available for pre-order through Seiko’s UK webstore.
