Announcing the coming together of British classics, Habitat has teamed up with Morris & Co. for its latest collection honing in on the art of craftsmanship.

Comprising soft furnishings, furniture, accessories, and more, the collaboration merges the brand’s unique sensibilities with Habitat’s homeware expertise. Inspired by the archives as well as the home of its founder, artist and designer William Morris, the signature colors and patterns are reinterpreted through a contemporary lens to honor the rich legacy while being designed to fit seamlessly into a modern home.

Following Old Old Woods’ Tola Adefioye breaking down Habitat’s 60th-anniversary collection, Hypebeast enlists interior designer Phoebe Beckett of LDN LOFT to spotlight her favorite pieces from the collaboration and how she looks to style them for the latest episode of “Curated 5.”

Sunflower Woodblock Bedding

Originally introduced in 1879, Morris’ Sunflower design became a signature print for the brand. Reimagined by Habitat designer Heather Goode, the pattern is translated into a woodblock print, with its monochromatic design giving a classic yet contemporary feel to the bedroom.

Cantlebury Writing Desk

This timeless writing desk, designed by David Hutcheson, perfectly embodies the less is more ethos. Led by the importance held to craftsmanship, the hand-finished wood design is inspired by arts & crafts and boasts a contrasting green worktop that “is a great way to inject color.” Built for function, it also features an in-built draw as well as a pen holder ideal for a workspace embracing the “tidy space, tidy mind” motto.

Merton Upholstered Armchair

A fusion of English country design and classic cream upholstery, this accent chair is comfortably cushioned, pocket sprung seat, a supportive padded back, and low and convenient arms — perfect for lounging and relaxing. “I’m a sucker for detailing,” Beckett explains. “So the back buttons and oak-turned legs on brass castors give a real sense of craftsmanship.”

Hammersmith Marble Side Table

Boasting a turned-column design with a solid marble base, the mixed-material construction is a celebration of fine craftsmanship and elegance. “The contrast of the green marble elevates the warm timber finish,” Beckett says. “The carved bottom of the wood balances on the arched marble base gives it a really unique shape and style.”

Slim Library Lamp

Continuing its luxury feel, the Library Lamp designed by Habitat’s senior homeware and lighting designer Tom Sullivan, adds a decorative addition to any room and is Beckett’s personal favorite from the collection. Inspired by the features of Morris’ iconic Red House, the piece is crafted in brass with a solid marble base and follows a similar language to the Hammersmith Marble Side Table — offering sleek ambient lighting.
