The last days of summer are creeping ever closer in the Northern Hemisphere, and the mavens of technical, elevated outerwear at Vancouver-based HAVEN are welcoming the change of seasons with open arms. The brand and retailer describes its just-revealed FW24 collection as "Equipment for Living," which, in a nutshell, elevates everyday garments with the use of refined-yet-hard-wearing textiles, ensuring an ideal fit within HAVEN's "urban layering" ecosystem, apparel designed to withstand the sporadic weather conditions of its Pacific Northwest home or wherever a wearer's travels may take them.
A Rolodex of technical materials are used across HAVEN FW24, starting with a duo of waterproofing technologies: the Loro Piana Storm System, a unique process that enables fine natural fibers to offer similar waterproof properties as synthetic textiles and is seen on the collection's suiting and car coats, and GORE-TEX PRO, the pinnacle expression of GORE-TEX that's typically used in mountaineering or backcountry skiing apparel, appearing on the offering's technical jackets. Insulation technologies include GORE-TEX WINDSTOPPER alongside Primaloft, Polartec and others. Corduory, twill and denim are also used across various pieces and are sourced from Japan and Italy, while the offering is rounded out by shirting that uses Merino wool from New Zealand and hand knits made right in HAVEN's home country of Canada.
Look for the HAVEN FW24 collection's first drop to be made available Friday, September 13 at 9 AM PST (12 PM EST) via HAVEN's webstore, retail locations and app.
