As a part of Geneva Watch Days' novelties, Bulgari announced a new limited edition Aluminium GMT, inspired by the famous Fender Stratocaster guitar from 1954. The latest collaboration sees the GMT evoke colors from the legendary Fender guitar for a limited release of just 1,200 pieces, just in time for the Stratocaster's 70th anniversary. To continue the celebrations and taking it one step further, Bulgari is also offering 140 exclusive anniversary sets, along with 70 custom Fender Stratocaster guitars for collectors to mark the occasion.
The Bvlgari Bvlgari Aluminio marked its return in 2020 during the Geneva Watch Days event. The sporty model was initially released in 1998 and at the time, it was seen as unconventional with its black rubber strap combined with a lightweight aluminium dial featuring the double Bvlgari logo on the rubber bezel. Now, the latest limited edition sees the signature watch dressed in the original Fender Stratocaster colors. The sleek combination sees the brown gradient hit the dial alongside a creamy white and dark brown 24-hour GMT scale.
The watch uses Arabic numerals, but maintains the 12 and the 6, with the date window at 3 o'clock. The technical specs of the Bulgari Aluminium GMT X Fender sees the watch arrive in a 40mm aluminium case with a slim height of 9.7mm and 100m water-resistance. Both the crown and caseback are black DLC-coated titanium and with the combination of aluminium and titanium, it makes the watch extra light. The watch is also redesigned with velcro fastening on the rubber strap. Beneath the BVL calibre 192 is a classic Sellita SW 330. The watch has automatic movement and allows the GMT hand to be adjusted in one-hour increments. The watch retails for €4,600 EUR. Check out Bulgari for more information.
