Over the weekend, Drake fans were treated to three new songs. The Boy surprise released three tracks on his Finsta @plottttwistttttt including "Circadian Rhythm," "SOD" and "No Face" featuring Playboy Carti.
With the Kendrick Lamar beef taking over the summer this year, Drake appears ready to move on and focus on the music. While it is uncertain when the tracks were recorded, some fans may remember streamer Kai Cenat previewing "SOD" as "Supersoak," which initially featured a verse from Lil Yachty. With Yachty's verse, he tried to clear a sample from Mr. HotSpot but was unsuccessful, causing his verse to be completely removed from the track. Fans with a keen eye have also suspected that there might be a feud brewing between Drake and Yachty after they noticed Yachty no longer follows Drake.
Some have connected the dots and believe that "Circadian Rhythm" is Drake's response to Lamar's "6:16 in LA" diss track where he raps, "Often, I know this type of power is gon’ cost / But I live in circadian rhythms of a shooting star." As for "No Face," Drake appears to comment on all the rappers who have not chimed in about the beef, "I'm just so happy that n****s who envied and held that shit in got to finally show it / I'm over the moon, yeah, we'll see you boys soon." The tracks can also be heard on Drake's new 100gigs.org website. It comes weeks after he drops a massive folder of unreleased music and behind-the-scenes footage.
