Ravyn Lenae has ventured into unprecedented territories for her sophomore album. Reaching new heights that she just scratched the surface of on her debut studio project HYPNOS is Lenae's sophomore LP Bird's Eye, which finds the songstress more confident in her capabilities than ever before and relying solely on her own talent to advance her expansive artistry.
Arriving as an ode to her younger self, Lenae explores emotions and anecdotes sacred to her adolescence across the LP's tracklist. The album consists of 11 tracks and clocks in at just over 35 minutes in run time and is bolstered but not defined by just two striking contributions from Childish Gambino on "One Wish" and Ty Dolla $ign on "Dream Girl." "Making Bird’s Eye has meant returning to the little girl inside of me. Every path I’ve taken and every question I’ve had has led me back to where I started," she wrote on Instagram.
"This album signifies returning to a place of self-trust and unbending intuition while acknowledging the roads and turns I’ve taken to get here. Revisiting the most basic parts of my identity has allowed me to fully embrace them and be proud of where I’m from and more centered on where I’m going."
