BABYLON, the brainchild of Trash Talk members Lee Spielman and Garrett Stevenson has joined forces with Tokyo's NEIGHBORHOOD for an explosive capsule collection. This partnership brings together BABYLON's West Coast edge and NEIGHBORHOOD's Japanese craftsmanship, resulting in a dynamic fusion of cultural influences.
At the heart of this collaboration is the artwork of Venice-based artist Ric Clayton, renowned for his iconic designs for punk bands like Suicidal Tendencies and Excel. Clayton's distinctive '80s style, characterized by skulls and waves is prominently featured throughout the collection.
The capsule offers a diverse range of apparel including custom button-ups, long sleeves and tees. Standout pieces include all-over print Hawaiian skull button-ups that embody the raw aesthetic of the punk era. Captured along Southern California's coastline by Venice-born photographer Dan Regan the collection is modeled by Eaddy and Jean from the music group Ho99o9.
To celebrate this collaboration BABYLON and NEIGHBORHOOD hosted a Ric Clayton art show at HVW8 Gallery in Los Angeles on July 12. The exhibition showcases four new works by Clayton alongside his original pieces and will run until August 11. The opening night was electrified by a special backyard performance from Trash Talk spilling onto Melrose Avenue.
