The North Face is continuing to expand and evolve its Urban Exploration label, adapting its technical pieces to each season's trends and temperatures. In the multifaceted "URBAN WANDER" collection, The North Face continues to tap into the "Open Skyline" concept to deliver three releases of warm-weather goods.
Lightweight in structure, the functional apparel optimizes swift, natural movements for wearers. In the already-released April drop – dubbed "Unhindered Winds" – FLASHDRY fabric, WINDWALL windproof material and DWR water-repellent treatment are all at play. Apparel spans shirts, shorts, vests and headwear, with footwear including the new ultra-lightweight Never Stop Mule Camp Shoes, which incorporate a Surface Control outsole.
Next month, for May's "Camouflage Search" drop, "URBAN WANDER" pivots to more workwear-inspired styles – as the name suggests, leaning into camo prints throughout. The Men's Printed Mesh Vest pulls inspiration from TNF's STEEP TECH RMST capsule, complete with a center front double zip and detachable pants. Other pieces include men's shorts with similar water-repellent features and pocketing, as well as the Shandal Aqua Shoes which come equipped with a protective toe cap. Take a closer look below.
Rounding out the "URBAN WANDER" collection comes the "Visual Meridian Line" in June. The closing component of the three-part drop focuses in on sun protection, curating lightweight tees that are equipped with UPF 50+ protection; shorts also feature UPF 40+ protection. The final footwear offering comes in the form of the Outdoor Sandal, which see adjustable Velcro straps on the instep. Check it out below.
