A young mum who was found dead in a flat in Glasgow has now been pictured.

The body of Brodie MacGregor, 23, was found in the Springburn area of the city at a flat on Elmvale Court at 10.15am on Monday.

Her death is being treated as murder by police following a post-mortem examination.

Pictures from the scene show police standing guard outside a flat that is cordoned off.

Forensic officers were also seen looking through recycling bins for clothing yesterday and a bin remains cordoned off today.

Police have not confirmed if this is linked to the murder investigation but said the search was ‘in connection with an ongoing enquiry’.

Detective Inspector Lynsey Watters said: ‘An extensive investigation is underway to establish the full circumstances surrounding this death.

‘If you have any CCTV or recording equipment, please review your footage as you may have captured images that could assist our investigation. There is an increased police presence in the area as our enquiries continue.
