A Place in the Sun buyer rejects property before viewing: 'I don't love the location'
In the latest episode of A Place in the Sun, property expert Jasmine Harman was swiftly rebuffed by house hunter Jasmin before she even set foot inside one of the potential homes. The show featured Jasmin and her partner David, who were on a quest to find their dream home in the picturesque town of Competa, southern Spain, with a budget of £130,000.
The first option presented by Jasmine was a charming three-bedroom townhouse listed at their maximum budget. It boasted a spectacular roof terrace offering panoramic views of both the sea and mountains.
The interior included a cosy living room, a kitchen accommodating a small dining area, and a compact shower room on the ground floor. The upper level housed a bright double bedroom complete with a Juliet balcony, an additional living space, and a quaint conservatory.
Despite the property's smaller size, the couple were initially captivated by the terrace views. However, their enthusiasm waned after inspecting the kitchen, which they found "too dark," leading them to dismiss the first property outright.
Jasmine then introduced a second three-bedroom abode, slightly over budget at £138,000, but with ample outdoor areas, including a snug courtyard, a balcony, and a roof terrace, each offering progressively more stunning vistas. The entrance opened into a welcoming hallway, flanked by a contemporary kitchen, while the lounge featured ample space for dining and nearly wall-to-wall windows to appreciate the breathtaking surroundings fully, reports the Mirror.

Before even setting foot inside the home, Jasmin was upfront about her reservations. Speaking to the host, she confessed, "I don't love the location, sorry. Even though the facilities are in walking distance, it feels quite remote."
After touring the property without Jasmine, the prospective buyers admitted they were charmed by the interior but remained unsure about its position. Despite their apprehensions, they decided to keep the holiday retreat under consideration.
Jasmine next showcased a £130,000 three-bedroom townhouse boasting a spectacular balcony with sweeping views of Competa and a rooftop terrace accessed by stairs.
"It is gorgeous," an elated Jasmin exclaimed, visibly thrilled by the find. "It is perfect."

The search continued with a fourth home, valued at £134,000, featuring a secluded courtyard and a vast rooftop terrace offering panoramic views over the village. Despite its appeal, the house hunters realised within moments that this place wasn't the right match for them.
For the final viewing, despite being well over their budget at £152,000, Jasmine remained optimistic that this property would make an indelible impression on the couple.
Venturing inside, they discovered an entrance hall that opened into a spacious kitchen diner, ideal for family gatherings. This level also presented a sofa bed-equipped double bedroom and a commodious shower room, which conveniently also served as a utility space.
The upper floor boasted a charming landing area, a generously sized living room, and an additional double bedroom. The first terrace provided access to a self-contained flat featuring a kitchenette and living space that opened onto the third bedroom.
After touring all five properties, Jasmin and David decided to bid for £127,000 on the fifth property. Although the homeowners turned down their initial offer, they came back with a counter-offer slightly above £130,000, which was accepted.
