Viewers of The Traitors were left baffled this evening (02/01/2025) when one contestant's attempt to spell another's name went awry.

BBC's gripping show aired yet another nail-biting episode as the remaining Faithfuls struggled to survive another day, with the three treacherous Traitors - Armani, Linda, and Minah - discreetly assassinating two players whilst two Faithfuls were wrongly ousted.

Tension rose at the roundtable as suspicion fell on Nathan. Despite audience awareness of his innocence as a Faithful, he was unceremoniously voted off, revealing his loyalty too late.

But it was Keith's misspelling of 'Nathan' rendered as 'Nather' during the vote that captured fans' attention and set social media abuzz.

One viewer tweeted: "not keith spelling 'nathan' as 'nather' oh we are so back #thetraitors," while another bemoaned: "NATHER. Poor guy. They ALWAYS get it wrong on the first episode. #Traitors #TheTraitors", reports the Mirror.

Another remarked: "I would argue this isn't a valid vote cause who tf is nather #TheTraitors,", followed by someone who mused: "Didn't think the name spelling from series 2 could be topped then BAM... nather #TheTraitors."

Adding to the levity, another fan suggested: "Nather, petition for name tags please... Actually no it's funnier this way #TheTraitorsUK #Thetraitors."

When questioned about his decision to participate in the show, Keith confessed: "Wow, that's a million-dollar question. I watched the first and the second series and with the second series, I was sitting on the settee watching as Harry won and as soon as it finished, I said to my wife, I said, 'You know something? I could do that'. And that's the reason why I applied. I like to play games like this, it excites me."

He added: "It reminds me of an old TV programme called Columbo, he was a lieutenant, and he always knew who the murderer was. He knew they did it, but he just needed to work it out from start to finish. So, and that's why I applied, I just thought I could I enjoy these sorts of games. Also, I'm one of nine in my family. I've got a very big family, lots of brothers and sisters who used to play tricks on each other, wind each other up, the works! So, with all that in mind, that's why I applied for The Traitors."
