This Morning: Craig shares video of him taking an ice bath

This Morning's Craig Doyle was branded 'bonkers' by his colleague Sian Welby on Thursday's episode, following his unconventional Christmas revelation. The  ITV presenter shared his unique method for avoiding festive family squabbles, which involves taking a bracing plunge into icy water.

Sian pointed out that holiday gatherings can sometimes become tense, but Craig boasted of having the perfect strategy to dodge disputes. He said: "Yeah, I have a solution."

The show then aired a clip from Craig's phone, showing him shirtless and donning a grey beanie hat. Craig explained his year-round approach to keeping cool, especially when potential arguments loom.

He said:"Not only Christmas, because I'm going to keep this going all year around. Not just for the sore bits when you get old, but you know when you feel you're on the verge of a row this is what you have to do ok, this is my Christmas day trick."

In the video, viewers watched as Craig humorously dealt with the cold, quipping: "No mum, it's fine, no you don't annoy me at all, you're alright!" After the footage concluded, he claimed the chilly dip helped him avoid any Christmas Day quarrels.

He advocated for the ice bath, saying: "Honestly, get that to about three or four degrees, get yourself in there, all the frustration leaves you."

Sian, however, was sceptical and couldn't help but laugh, responding: "I think you're bonkers going in an ice bath. I can't imagine anything worse."

Despite her doubts, Craig continued to sing the praises of his frosty ritual, describing it as 'brilliant'. The TV host urged viewers to take on the challenge and share their efforts with the programme. Sian playfully remarked: "No one else is mad enough to do that!"

In another part of the show, Craig brought up Sian's first Christmas celebration with her baby daughter, humorously commenting: "My house is full of plastic tat right now!"

Sian shared that her young one received numerous toys but reflected warmly on the experience saying: "It was really nice." The on-screen chemistry between Sian and Craig has resonated well with audiences, with several viewers advocating for them to become a staple duo, reports the Mirror.

One viewer praised: "Excellent presenting duo Craig and Sian." Anothe fan recommended: "They should make Craig and Sian permanent presenters."
