Michael Booker has released a dramatic statement in a newsletter to GB News fans, following the announcement of a presenter shake up at the controversial channel. Stars such as Isabel Webster, Mark Dolan and Jacob Rees-Mogg have been impacted by changes at the station, as their jobs and hours have been cut.

Now the Editorial Director of GB News, Booker, has shared a lengthy statement telling viewers to "imagine the world without GB News" as he said that their "absence would be felt for the worst" after people have been "coming for them".

He penned: "There’s plenty out there that would love it if this channel had never launched. You can’t have missed them, they’ve spent three-and-a-half years seething and moaning at every aspect of our output on TV, radio and online.

"Even in this season of goodwill to all men the sniping hasn’t stopped. Last week it was the Muslim Council of Britain, backed by three faded stars from the establishment’s Department for The Out Of Touch Liberal Elite, who were wanting us to be shut down.

"God only knows who will be coming for us next." He went on to add that "it is only a matter of time" but the channel are "used to it".

In the impactful message, Booker continued: "The joyful and triumphant festive message I have for them is this: We aren’t going away. GB News is strong, and gets stronger by the day."

The channel boss described GB News as "optimistic, hard-working, family-oriented, and values-driven," before adding: "Our absence would certainly be felt for the worse. We exist to stand up for the people of Britain, giving a voice to the many who can’t be heard above the hectoring noise of the establishment."

He continued to point out the good that the channel does, without mentioning the recent job cuts, as he added: "GB News is a community that grows by the day, growth driven by an audience that recognises us as truly being the People’s Channel.

"A channel staffed by the people and for the people. In the past 12 months alone, we have shone a light on communities and causes neglected for years by the media that existed before our birth.

"Perishing pensioners struggling without the Winter Fuel allowance, ‘Waspi’ women fighting for their rightful pensions, hospices battling for funding, and farmers and their families struggling from dawn to dusk to put food on the nation’s tables have all been given a voice on GB News."

Booker signed off with a promise to fans, writing: "We can’t promise life will always be like the one enjoyed in Bedford Falls, but we can promise we will continue to fight for a better society.

"A one in which we all pull together. We will always be there at your side, whenever you need a friend.

"As guardian angel Clarence Oddbody AS2 (Angel Second Class) said, 'no man is a failure who has friends.' And with GB News you’ve got one, you always will."
