After a remarkable 24-year tenure, BBC presenter Jenny Hill has announced her departure from the broadcaster. Taking to social media, Jenny shared her decision to step down as a foreign correspondent, expressing gratitude for her career at the BBC.
In a heartfelt Twitter post, she wrote: "Personal update: I'm leaving the BBC today after 24 years. What a privilege it's been to travel the world and tell people's stories."

So sorry to see you go Jenny.", reports the Mirror.
Tributes poured in from fans and viewers alike, with one stating: "Thank-you Jenny for all your hard work. Hope the next chapter is awesome x," and another commenting on the loss for the BBC: "The BBC will miss you @jennyhillBBC - you are a great journalist, much admired and liked by colleagues and the audience including those in Africa. It is a big loss to the organisation. Good luck in the future."

Despite the early starts, she found joy in the role, saying: "It's a great team at Breakfast and while I don't think I'll ever get used to the early alarm calls, working here is always great fun."
In 2014, she launched her international journalism career becoming the BBC's Berlin correspondent and went on to cover significant wars, such as the conflict in Ukraine and the Israel-Hamas clashes.
Recent social media posts suggest she intends to remain in Germany post-BBC. Although her username retains "BBC," her bio now states: "Former BBC Foreign Correspondent. Planning new adventures from Berlin."

She's not alone in departing from a longstanding position at the BBC; many reporters have made similar decisions. Gary Lineker is stepping back from presenting Match Of The Day while Mishal Husain bade a poignant farewell on the Today programme after a stellar 26-year stint.
Earlier this week, Mishal joined presenters Nick Robinson, Justin Webb, and past hosts Sarah Montague and John Humphrys, offering up touching reflections about her tenure. Her last day concluded with a song that resonated with her feelings at that moment.
