Gregg Wallace admits 'I'm f***ed' over fears MasterChef will axe him after TV probe
MasterChef star Gregg Wallace has confided in friends that he expects to be sacked following the launch of an investigation into allegations of sexual harassment and groping, according to reports.
The 60-year-old presenter has reportedly come to terms with his departure from the beloved cooking show after multiple women came forward with complaints about his behaviour.
It is believed Wallace has stopped using his pricey legal team as he prepares to be sacked from the show after 19 years of hosting. The controversial TV judge has also reportedly turned down crisis-publicity teams following the media storm since his exit.
The BBC show's production company Banijay UK launched a probe last month after 13 women came forward with complaints, however the former greengrocer strongly denies any wrongdoing.
Now, those close to the star claim he understands his position on the culinary show is no longer tenable, according to The Sun. A source told the outlet: “Gregg’s conceded he has lost everything. To put it bluntly, he’s told people, ‘I’m f***ed’.

It is believed his co-host John Torode will continue in his role (Image: BBC)“He came out swinging but he has quietly conceded that he knows his time on MasterChef is over and that he will be stepping aside. He has contested the sexual allegations and insisted any jokes he made were just jokes.
"He said he never meant to cause any offence. Gregg knows the time will come when he has to step aside, and as much as that pains him, it seems he has come to terms with it."

Insiders say a female star is expected to replace Wallace, with an announcement about the new hosting partnership anticipated in the New Year.

A second source told the outlet: "Not long after the probe into Gregg’s conduct, casting started for the celebrity series. While the probe is ongoing, it has been made clear to production that John is going to be staying and that a female will step into Gregg’s role."
Wallace’s departure marks a dramatic end to his long tenure on MasterChef, where he has been a central figure since the show’s modern revival in 2005.
Some of the stars who have been rumoured to be in line to replace the presenter include Angela Hartnett and Nigella Lawson, as well as Monica Galetti, 49, who appears on MasterChef: The Professionals.
