ITV I'm A Celeb fans spot 'brutal' moment in Dean McCullough interview

I'm A Celeb: Dean McCullough shares insight into trials

Dean McCullough became the second campmate to leave the I'm A Celebrity jungle but fans have spotted a 'brutal' moment during the interview on the reality series campanion show.

Main hosts Ant and Dec had a small chat with the Radio 1 host immediately after revealing the results of the latest public vote.

However, Dean also appeared on ITV2 afterwards and was interviewed by Sam Thompson on I'm A Celebrity Unpacked.

Television personality Sam won last year's iteration of the reality series. He has since become a host of Unpacked alongside Kemi Rodgers and fellow former campmate Joel Dommett.

As it was revealed that Dean would be leaving the jungle, his initial four-word response surprised some viewers as he said: "I need my underwear!"

He then told Ant and Dec he was delighted to be going home. However, fans still think they spotted a moment where the DJ was perhaps not too pleased about.

Dean underwent the most Bushtucker trials of any campmate while he was in the jungle. He was voted by the public to undertake seven challenges, however he uttered the words I'm a celebrity get me out of here twice.

During a chat with Sam over a freshly brewed cup of tea, the presenter said he was gifting a mug to every contestant as they left. Each mug would feature a memorable quote from their time of the show.

However, Dean's mug was the standard branded mug that just said the name of the show - I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here! Sam added that it's because that is what Dean will be remembered for saying.

Sam said: "You (Dean) were a massive part of the show. We decided to give everyone personalised mugs with their standout quotes of the series and for you we had to go with I'm a celebrity get me out of here. It's actually just the generic one because that is what you said."

Dean simply replied 'well played' but fans were quick to react to the moment with one saying: "Unpacked giving Dean his ‘quote of the series’ mug and it’s just the logo is so brutal."

Other viewers loved the interview, saying Sam threw in cheeky references to Dean being accused of not doing enough work around camp. He also referenced the problems they had with fish guts.

One fan posted on social media: "'Not the water, clearly' - Sam Thompson not only dropped the mic here, he broke it into smithereens and threw them all over Dean."

Another added: "Love Sam’s interview with Dean. Dean is on another planet and not ‘reading the room and questions’."

Voting has reopened again for fans to choose who they want to remain in camp. The celebrity with the least votes will leave the show on Monday's show (December 2).

As it stands McFly's Danny Jones is the bookies favourite to win. He is closely joined by Reverend Richard Coles and Coleen Rooney who are tipped to make the final.

I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here continues tonight at 9pm on ITV1 and ITVX followed by I'm A Celebrity Unpacked on ITV2.
