'I'm an I'm A Celebrity superfan but this series is making a big mistake'
Is it just me, or is this year's new series of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! missing something we all love to watch on TV?
Last year's spats between Nella Rose and Fred Sirieix, or her run-in with Nigel Farage were a reminder of what Brits love to see when it comes to an entertainment show – the drama. The arguments and the conflicting opinions.
After all, that's real life, right? We don't all agree with each other and we certainly don't like everyone – that's a massive part of what makes us unique. Kim Woodburn didn't get along with Katie Price, and Lady Colin Campbell certainly wasn't a fan of Tony Hadley.
These iconic spats have played out on ITV over the years, birthing some of my all-time favourite insults – and yes that includes "chippy oik".
"You live and die for publicity and you do it well," How Clean Is Your House star Kim brazenly told the Pricey. "As Shakespeare once said, 'We fear you protesteth too much'."

Dean is ruffling some feathers on this year's action-packed series (Image: ITV)Even when Ant and Dec moved out of the jungle and into Wales, we still saw our fair share of arguments. Notably AJ Pritchard and Shane Ritchie who didn't seem to get on.
During their series in 2020, AJ moaned that Shane hadn't done the washing up. So when it was the dancer's turn, the EastEnders actor chucked him his dish and said: "There you go. How do you like them apples." Having none of it, AJ replied: "Put it by the bucket."

But is it just me, or are we missing all of the drama this year? Over the weekend, we saw Dean have a go at Alan Halsall for disturbing his beauty sleep – but that was pretty minor and the pair seemed to work things out straight away.
We almost witnessed a sexism row when Jane threw her toys out the pram at being asked to do the washing up – but again, a pretty small spat all things considering. This year's celebs have been in the jungle long enough now, but they still seem to like each other.

Surely we can expect to see some more drama soon? I thought Wagatha Christie was going to kick off when people kept mentioning Rebekah Vardy. You can tell she doesn't really want to talk about it, but people keep making jokes.
Have ITV missed a trick this year by casting a group of people who genuinely like each other? I don't think. It all feels a bit false. You can see people are starting to get a bit annoyed with Dean – even Tulisa has banned him from singing.
It's starting to fall apart in there, but it's taken far too long. I miss the drama, I miss the name-calling – does that make me a bad person? I think it's everything we love about a TV show – look at this year's drama-full series of civilian Big Brother.
At first, I must admit it was a nice change to see all of the cast get along. But I'm bored now campmates, it's time to start pulling people up instead of pretending to smile through the pain. Has someone (Dean) annoyed you? Why not bring it up in conversation?
Let's see if these friendships last this week, with Maura and Richard now in main camp we'll watch as 12 personalities attempt to live together. Will they keep up this facade for another seven days? Surely not – if they do I might have to switch off.
I'm A Celebrity continues tonight at 9pm on ITV and ITVX.
