Emmerdale featured a tense Milligan family reunion on Monday (November 18), which was far from joyous.

Steph Milligan (played by Georgia Jay) recently arrived in the village to claim her inheritance left by her late grandmother Helen Fox (portrayed by Sharon Maughan).

Businessman Caleb (William Ash) knew about Steph's presence, but his wife Ruby (Beth Cordingly) was oblivious to her estranged daughter's return - until that moment.

The dramatic encounter began when Steph agreed to meet her father for coffee at her parents' home while discussing her inheritance. A nervous Caleb bombarded Steph with questions, including whether she had read his letters sent over the years.

Steph was hesitant to delve into her past, but the conversation took an unexpected turn when Ruby entered and saw her daughter for the first time in over a decade.

Ruby demanded explanations from Steph, escalating into a heated argument. Steph accused Ruby of never showing her love, being distant, and sending her to a despised boarding school when she needed her mother most, reports Leeds Live.

Tensions rose as Ruby attempted to justify her actions, explaining that Steph's car theft at 14 necessitated discipline. However, her words fell on deaf ears, leading to a fierce dispute that culminated in Ruby striking her daughter.

Despite the intense family reunion and ensuing drama on Emmerdale, viewers were sidetracked by the striking resemblance between Ruby's Beth Cordingly and Steph's Georgia Jay, with some even calling them "twins".
