âPendulum are one of the most important bands of the last 20 years and we are delighted to be adding them to our list of headliners for 2025,â said Scarborough OAT venue programmer Julian Murray, of promoters Cuffe and Taylor.
âThey returned earlier this year with two brilliant EPs [âElementalâ and âAnimaâ] that add to an incredible body of work which has won them an army of fans around the world and seen them headline some of the biggest venues and festivals. This is going to be another unmissable night at this very special venue.â

Earlier this year, Pendulum were named by NME as one of the most impressive performers at the 2024 edition of Reading & Leeds festival.
âYouâd be forgiven for thinking that energy may have been waning by the final day of the festival but Pendulum came looking for intensity from the crowd, and refused to leave until they found it,â the review read.
âJust days before the set, the band told NME that they were looking to make their sound âmuch heavierâ than ever before, and given the force and conviction of their Sunday set, it appears theyâve already reached the new heights they hoped for.â
Shortly before the set, frontman Rob Swire spoke to NME about new single âNapalmâ, featuring Joey Valance and Brae. Recalling how it signals what is yet to come from the band, he said: âI want to take it much heavier. I know drum ânâ bass is having a moment again and we keep getting every Tom, Dick and Harry across our entire work team being like, âYou guys have to get in on this and start making some DnB that fits in Hedexâs setâ, but itâs just the last thing I want to fucking do.
âI feel most comfortable when weâre in between worlds. As soon as it goes too metal or too DnB, then I start to feel weird about it. The middle of that ground is the perfect zone for us. I want to take it much heavier if we can.â
