BBC Breakfast star flustered as crew forced to step in after awkward moment
BBC Breakfast's Charlie Stayt found himself in an embarrassing situation during a live broadcast as the TV crew were forced to step in.
During Saturday’s (November 16) episode of the popular morning programme, Charlie and his co-host Nina Warhurst returned to our TV screens as they presented the day's main news stories.
However, ahead of one segment, an awkward moment occurred when Nina asked Charlie if he was looking for a new job. Speaking to viewers at home Nina started off by saying: “It’s 12 minutes past 8, now if you are looking for a new job.”
The presenter then turned to her co-host and asked: “Are you looking for a new job?”
The question took Charlie by surprise as he began to get flustered and admitted “I wasn’t expecting that.” Nina found the moment hilarious as she burst out laughing.

Simon replied: “I’ve not heard Charlie so just stay right there.” Nina joked: “I’m just putting it out there, just in case you were.”
Charlie was still in disbelief as he looked for his phone and said: “Um should I call someone?" The show crew was forced to step in as someone working in the background shouted: “Get your agent on the phone!”
It comes following another awkward moment when Naga Munchetty had to apologise for repeatedly interrupting an interview during Friday (November 15) episode.
At the time Naga and Charlie were in conversation with Dr Tamzin Furtado, an animal welfare researcher from Liverpool University, discussing the impact of fireworks on animals.

However, throughout the interview, Naga was troubled by a cough and apologised multiple times as Charlie took over the questioning.
"I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry," she said amidst her coughing fits.
As the segment came to an end, Charlie thanked Dr Furtado for her insights, saying: "Dr Tamzin Furtado, thank you so much for talking to us.
Naga is going to get some water and we're going to go to the sport now." Naga also used this opportunity to apologise once again.
