Inside Strictly's Jowita Przystal's life off-screen from dance success to romance rumours
Strictly Come Dancing pro Jowita Przystal has turned her passion for dance into a dazzling rise to fame. With her remarkable talent and determination, she moved from dance competitions to the glittering stage of BBC's Strictly.
This year Jowita has teamed up with TOWIE star Pete Wicks and their relationship on the floor has often been the talk of the town.
The dancer who originates from Poland made her first appearance on Strictly in 2021, joining the cast as a professional dancer. In her debut season, she didn't have a celebrity partner, but she soon set the scene for her breakthrough the following year.
In 2022, Jowita was matched with wildlife cameraman Hamza Yassin. The duo quickly became a fan favourite and ended up winning the show that year.
But away from the show Jowita has a very colourful life.

Jowita Przystal has showcased her skills on Strictly Come Dancing (Image: BBC) Former successBack in 2013, while attending a summer dance camp in Krakow, she met her then-dance partner Michael Danilczuk and the duo went on to represent Poland at various ballroom completion. A year later they were also crowned the Polish Open Latin Champions.
Following on from their remarkable competition success, Jowita and Michael went on to perform on cruise ships and appeared in stage shows such as Rock of Ages and Legally Blonde.
Together, the dance duo later entered BBC show The Greatest Dancer and took home the trophy in 2020. As part of their winning prize, the pair were gifted £50,000 and the opportunity to perform on Strictly. A year after the competition win saw her take to the Strictly floor which led to Jowita's permanent position.

Birthday celebrationsThis year Jowita celebrated a landmark birthday, as she recently turned up the glam as she rung in her 30th. Donning a stunning oversized white shirt paired with knee-high black boots and topped off with a birthday sash and a tiara for a fab touch, the dancer looked spectacular.
She expressed her gratitude on Instagram for all the well-wishes, writing: "30. Thank you so much for all the love and birthday wishes."
Her followers also flooded the comment section with warm messages on her big day. One fan gushed: "The most stunning birthday gal, hope you've had a special day. love you."
Another added their compliments saying: "Beautiful hun, hope you have had an amazing day."
Chiming in, another admirer said: "Happy birthday have an amazing day, I am such a big fan of strictly come dancing, I love all the professionals."
The star celebrated her 30th birthday this year (Image: BBC) Romance rumoursEarlier in the year Strictly Come Dancing's Jowita was the centre of attention due to whispers that she had a brief romance with former dancer Giovanni Pernice but it hasn't been publicly acknowledged by either of the dancers.
Word has it they called time on their fling in May, attributing their split to non-stop work commitments.
Giovanni was also hit with bullying claims from his former celeb dance partner Amaanda Abbington which caused him to leave the BBC show.
