This Morning's Alison Hammond red-faced after blunder with Hollywood icon 'I'm so sorry'
This Morning's Alison Hammond found herself in an awkward situation during Friday's instalment of the ITV show after botching one of her high-profile guest's names.
The episode kicked off with the hosts excited to speak to Hollywood heavyweights Demi Moore, Jon Hamm, Billy Bob Thornton, and Ali Larter about their new series Landman.
Yet, as Alison commenced the celebrity roll call, she stumbled into an uncomfortable gaffe by getting Billy Bob's name wrong.
She declared: "Now, it doesn't get more star-studded than today on our sofa, does it? Absolutely unbelievable, we're very excited to be joined by Hollywood legends Demi Moore, Job Hamm, Billy Rob Thornton- sorry about that, Bob!"
Amid the blooper, Ali Larter quipped from the sofa: "Great start!"

Unable to contain her own mirth over the slip-up, Hammond roared with laughter as co-host Dermot O'Leary playfully teased that the misstated name she had uttered was also amongst their guest list, reports the Mirror.
Pressing on with the presentation, Alison uttered: "So sorry! Billy Bob, apologies!"
Stepping back in embarrassment, Dermot took charge as he told viewers about the Hollywood show. However, Dermot couldn't help but rib his colleague, commenting: "You can't hide!"
The actor appeared unfazed by the error as he chuckled along, yet viewers didn't let the moment pass without remark.

Another wrote: "Oh jeez, cringing #ThisMorning." Someone else commented: "I'd really love to know who this "Billy Rob" bloke is, Alison!"
In the course of their conversation, Dermot probed Billy for more insights about his latest series, with Billy explaining: "It's about the ins and outs, the ups and downs, the good and the bad and ugly of the oil business.
"It's how we get the oil out of the ground and how dangerous it is and the people that worked in it or around it. It's about families that are affected by it, so it's not just a series about oil, it's also about the lifestyle of the people and what it does to them."

Billy divulged to the ITV anchor that he portrays an intermediary for those operating within the oil firm and the proprietor.
He added: "I'm in charge of making him money, there's a lot of pressure on me to do that."
