ITV Good Morning Britain's Ed Balls issued stern warning as he's told 'get out the gutter'

GMB: Ed told to 'get out the gutter' by Richard Arnold

Good Morning Britain’s Ed Balls was left taken back as co-star issued a stern warning and claimed that he should “get his head out the gutter”.

On Thursday's episode of ITV's beloved morning show, Ed alongside co-host Kate Garraway returned to our screens and dived headfirst into the days top stories.

The duo welcomed entertainment presenter, Richard Arnold onto the show and talk soon turned to Halloween, speculating on the stand-out ensembles set to make a splash this spooky season.

With characteristic flair, Ed introduced their guest, quipping: "We have Richard Arnold in the studio. Halloween, what is going on? ".

A "nepo baby" ensemble was highlighted by Richard as the in-vogue choice for celebrations this year, but it was Kate who expressed her skepticism about its executionsince it might just look like one's everyday clothes, reports the Mirror.

Forecasting the pulse of Halloween fashion, Richard enthusiastically stated: "We've rounded up what has been trending as the top Halloween costume for 2024 plucked straight from the world of showbiz."

Dishing out the details, he noted that pop sensations Charlie XCX and Sabrina Carpenter are likely muses for party-goers get-ups.

He then zoned in on an outfit inspired by celebrity offspring, musing: "Another favourite and I do like this is nepo baby, which are children of famous people and the Beckham boys spring to mind."

Kate interposed with a dose of practicality: "That seems like such a hard costume to pull off if you don't actually look like the person because it'll look like you've just got normal clothes on."

Richard opined: "Actually it's quite a good costume." Kate concurred: "Yeah it can be quite easy."

The conversation took a comical turn when Ed, bemused, queried: "What do you mean pull off? " To which Kate elucidated: "Pull off. You know, pull off the costume. I don't mean take it off."

Ed's confusion was put to rest as he responded: "Oh I see you. Thought you meant actually pulling off the costume." Richard intervened with a chuckle: "Achieve the look Ed. Get out of the gutter."

The banter peaked when Kate couldn't contain her amusement, and Richard carried on: "Wear your costume proudly because Brooklyn Beckham said in a recent interview that he is not ashamed of the title and he has grown to accept that he is always going to be criticised no matter what he does."
