Emmerdale sign up Hollyoaks actress who quit UK to become country singer
Actress and country music star Twinnie-Lee Moore is set to make a guest appearance on Emmerdale. Twinnie, known for her role on Hollyoaks, will debut as Jade, a ruthless boxing promoter, on October 11.
Jade's arrival will put pressure on Billy Fletcher to continue his involvement in unlicensed boxing, despite the risks. As Billy is tempted by Jade's offer, he must weigh the financial benefits against the potential dangers.
Over the coming months, Billy's association with Jade may put his family in harm's way and strain his relationship with his wife, Dawn.
Twinnie expressed her excitement about joining the show, saying:"My life has been a bit crazy recently juggling music and acting with lots of back and forth between Nashville and Yorkshire but I;ve been loving it."
"I've loved being back on screen, especially as the show is shot in Yorkshire, being able to be home with family and go to work on such an iconic show has been nothing short of amazing.
The whole team has been so welcoming and really supportive. My character is so much fun to play and I can't wait to see how the audience reacts to her."

Twinnie-Lee Moore has joined Emmerdale as boxing promoter Jade (Image: ITV)Soap enthusiasts will recall Twinnie's portrayal of Porsche McQueen from 2014 to 2015, a character that shed light on child sexual abuse and navigated through a failed marriage due to her husband's infidelity.
Her compelling performance earned her nominations for the British Soap Award for Best Newcomer and an Inside Soap Award in 2015.
Twinnie, who has been involved in music since her childhood, independently released her debut self-titled EP in 2016, followed by the Better When I'm Drunk EP via BMG two years later.

She then enjoyed a string of successful singles before making a significant impact with her standout debut studio album Hollywood Gypsy in 2020. This was followed by a sold-out headline tour of the UK and performances at renowned music festivals such as CMA Fest, C2C Festival, Bonnaroo, and more.
In 2022, Twinnie unveiled her EP Welcome to the Club, accompanied by a short film that narrated the mental health journey of the project. In April 2023, she relocated from the UK to Nashville, Tennessee, to further her music career and made her Grand Ole Opry debut on November 3, 2023.
