Emmerdale star Beth Cordingly's forgotten raunchy role which left fans speechless

Emmerdale: Ruby finds out her mum has died

Emmerdale viewers were left stunned after spotting Beth Cordingly in a rather risque TV show on Netflix. The actress, who portrays Ruby Fox-Miligan on the ITV soap, made her first appearance earlier this year.

As Caleb's (William Ash) fiery wife, Ruby has already stirred up a fair amount of trouble in the Dales. Not only is she hell-bent on taking down Kim Tate (Claire King), but Ruby also recently had a brush with death when she was trapped in a barn fire started by Moira Dingle (Natalie J.

Robb). Before joining Emmerdale, Beth was no stranger to the small screen, having featured in shows like Doctors, EastEnders and Casualty.

However, it's her part in a steamy television series from the 2000s that has got tongues wagging. In 2007, Beth appeared in an episode of ITV's Secret Diary Of A Call Girl.

The programme, which chronicled the life of sex worker Hannah Baxter, also known as Belle de Jour, played by Billie Piper, ran for four seasons and was filled with provocative scenes. And in the fifth episode of its inaugural series, Beth made a surprise appearance.

Secret Diary of a Call Girl, which first graced our screens on ITV, has recently spiced up UK Netflix's offerings.

Audiences have been taken aback by the show's racy content, prompting one viewer to post on social media: "Secret Diary of a Call Girl is on Netflix and upon rewatching it, I can't believe this was a proper show on ITV".

Beth's salacious role in the series has left fans gobsmacked, with one fan expressing disbelief on Facebook: "Just discovered Ruby is in episode 5 of Netflix Secret Diary of a Call Girl starring Billie Piper raunchy lol."

This sparked a reply from another, saying: "I thought it was her! Can't watch her on Emmerdale the same way.." Apart from her TV appearances, Beths personal life is blooming with romance as she's smitten with her partner, the actor Ian Kelsey. Interestingly, Ian once had a part on Emmerdale, portraying Dave Glover until his dramatic exit in 1997.

In an intimate chat with The Mirror, Beth dished about her love life, saying: "I am very in love with Ian and very happy. I think it really does work him being an actor too. He has been so fantastic."

She also touched on the mutual understanding they share as actors: "There is that thing as an actor where you are always taken away from home. But he totally gets it.

He knows a lot of the crew and cast and so it's lovely to be able to share what I've been up to, knowing he understands."
