This Morning: Ben tells 'twisted' Martin Lewis to 'get lost'

During Tuesday's episode of This Morning, host Ben Shephard was left with a flush of embarrassment. The ITV audience had been treated to a viral video showcasing a high-octane iteration of the childhood favourite Simon Says.

Astonished by the rapid pace of the game's participants, Ben remarked: "I can't breathe watching that! I'm trying to work out how they did it."

The presenters of This Morning couldn't resist the challenge and attempted the game on air to gauge their own skills.

With Martin Lewis stepping in to dictate the game, the financial guru lightly stated: "We'll start easy."

Presenters Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley were poised for action while their two guests joined in eagerly, reports the Mirror.

Directing the game, Martin instructed: "Martin says put your hand on your shoulders. Martin says put your hands on your hips.

"Martin says put your hands on your knees, done you're all out!"

In a clever ploy, Martin had placed his hands on his head instead of his knees, duping the ITV crew into failure.

Cat exclaimed in frustration: "That was terrible!"

As Martin moved away post-game, Ben jokingly hit back: "Martin, get lost!"

Praising Martin for his sly game tactics, his co-host chimed in, celebrating his ingenuity.

Bantering with Martin, Ben called out grinningly: "The look of glee on your face! I've been practising that's how atrocious that was. I'm devastated."

Highlighting Ben's evident annoyance, Cat chimed in: "So angry, so angry right now!"

The atmosphere was light-hearted as they all burst into laughter, realising they had swiftly disregarded Martin's instructions.

In another segment of the programme, Ben faced a mild telling-off from Cat after he issued a cautionary tale while chatting with Grand Designs' Kevin McCloud.

Ben pointed out an instance where a property that was supposed to be finished in eight months took a staggering six years to complete.

With a wry smile, Cat responded: "I'm doing up a house at the moment, don't say things like that! It sounds dreadful!"

Kevin then chimed in with some wisdom for the ITV presenter, suggesting she take her time and stay on top of her budget.

This Morning continues weekdays on ITV from 10am.
