BBC Escape to the Country hit by disaster as filming halted by extreme weather
Filming for Escape to the Country was brought to an abrupt halt as extreme weather conditions left presenter Jules Hudson unable to shoot.
The presenter, 54, headed to North Wales to film another episode of the BBC property hunting show, however, torrential rain left him with no choice but to take cover in his car with other members of the crew.
Sharing the update on Instagram, Jules began: "Now if you want to know what it's like working on Escape to the Country, well I can assure you it's actually really good fun as you can expect.
"But there are moments, such as this, when it does catch you out a bit, doesn't it Nic?" Jules turned the camera to his colleague in the passenger seat, who was wearing a black waterproof jacket and holding a large camera with a rain cover over it.

The BBC star continued: "We were about to do a lovely piece to camera, a rare glimpse of sunshine today so we thought, 'Yep we can wrap this up.' But then this happened."

"You'll have to take my word for it but out of the gloom is Mount Snowdon, not that you'd know..." he said.
The archaeologist added in the caption: "What’s it like making Escape to the Country? It’s often like this! Wonderful week working in the shadow of Yr Wyddfa in North Wales."

A few hours later, Jules issued an update as he revealed the weather had finally cleared. "Well folks, I've just paused my journey home, just to take a moment and enjoy this view of Snowdonia," he began in another video.
With the fog and rain having disappeared, Jules had the perfect view of the picturesque mountain. "Just look at that," the TV star exclaimed.
"The weather is beginning to clear. The sun is beginning to come out and it is just lighting up this landscape." The Countryfile star added: "And having seen so much rain this week, I thought you might appreciate a little glimpse of that."
The final image featured a clear view of Mount Snowdon complete with a rainbow in front of it.
