ITV presenter James Martin sparked concern on Saturday Morning after he suddenly started coughing off-screen. On Saturday morning (September 14), James Martin's Saturday Morning welcomed presenter and podcaster Suzi Perry along with chefs Romy Gill and Paul Foster, bringing their culinary flair to the screen.

For a special segment, James Martin introduced Merlin Griffiths from First Dates to make some cocktails using an array of wild fruits. Suzi Perry, famed for her work on The Gadget Show and covering Moto GP, stepped into the kitchen ready to whip up some delectable Raspberry Appletinis.

As Merlin demonstrated his cocktail-making flair, James sipped on a drink and found himself caught in a coughing fit. A startled Suzi swiftly turned to check on him, enquiring: "Are you alright James? ".

Stunned by how sharp his drink was, a coughing James said: "I just downed that bit (of drink) over there!".

The show's guests laughed out of relief for James before he turned to the camera and said: "I was trying to do that off-camera and just finish it off."

Despite the coughing fit, James was impressed and "Yeah that's lovely, that is."

An unintentional comedic moment happened minutes before when Suzi fed apples into a blender. The blender made an unexpected grinding sound while Suzi apologetically remarked: "Oh - excuse me".

James quickly reassured her and said: "It's alright, it's working. That was the machine". A relieved Suzi made light of the situation and quipped: "It's not me!".

The group together made a Raspberry Appletini, a non-alcoholic British Bambini, and a Blackberry Calpis. The drinks went down a treat on the show, with James Martin commenting: "That is absolutely fantastic. That man is a genius."
