Meanwhile, a jubilant Stacey, who looked stunning in a strapless red satin gown and chic elbow-length black gloves, graced the stage with her son Zach, 18, to accept the accolade.

In her heartfelt speech, Stacey acclaimed: "It's the hardest show ever to make and they work so so hard. My amazing co-presenters. I'm so grateful I get to do a show like this, I want to thank the families who let us into their homes. If it wasn't for the families, who opened their hearts to us, there wouldn't be no Sort Your Life Out."

Stacey expressed her gratitude to her husband Joe Swash and their five children after accepting the award. She said: "I was not ready I didn't know where to go - no one told us! We were an absolute mess, I don't know what I said in the speech! I can only apologise! It means the absolute world - I don't think anyone can comprehend how hard people work to make Sort Your Life out to happen. ".

She added: "It is a huge show and we do so much in those seven days. It means absolutely everything that we get to do something we absolutely love and to be able to be given the chance to do more of it. It is not just four of us. There is a huge team that works to the bone. I've learned that I love to have a job to make people feel good. It is the biggest privilege but I don't host it on my own. The co-stars are like family to me."

Despite fan's reaction, Martin took to X, formerly known as Twitter following the awards to thank fans for voting for him.

He wrote: "Well you can't win em all (or any tonight!) but thanks so much to all who voted and supported me #NTAs."

Martin's followers rushed to the comment section to praise the money expert, one said: "Ahh, what a shame. Recognition is well deserved for all you've done."

"Keep up the good work, Martin," another wrote."

A third added: "Martin, I think the work you do is so important that actually you’re above competing for awards like this. Onwards and upwards."
