Emmerdale: Tom realises something is wrong as Cain brushes past

Emmerdale viewers believe the end is in sight for Tom King as Cain Dingle finally discovered the truth regarding his sister Belle's abuse.

During Friday's episode (September 6), emotions were at an all-time high as Charity told Cain the painful ordeal Belle had endured at the hands of her estranged husband, Tom. Sharing certain details, Charity told Cain that Belle had been physically and mentally abused by Tom and no one was able to detect it.

Fuelled with rage, Cain wanted to deal with Tom there and then. But under strict instruction from Belle, Charity begged him not to.

At the end of the show, Cain bumped into Tom on Main Street and no words were exchanged. But with the sudden wave of hostility, Tom suspected something wasn't right.

With the tension mounting in the Dales, fans knew time was ticking for Tom. Heading over to X, one viewer wrote: "Tom. Dead. Man. Walking. Brilliant."

Another viewer said: "Nervous Tom? Well, you should be, your going to need to keep awake, they're coming for you." A third wrote: "Your days are numbered now Tom Charity and Cain are on the case."

A fourth fan shared: "I'm kinda sorry that Cain didn't lay into Tom, but the look Tom got was pretty good. Tom has seemed scared of Cain in the past & with just 1 look he should be shitting himself! Love it!"

Another echoed: "Tom's downfall officially starts here, messing with the Dingles? Otherwise known as signing his death warrant in other words. Totally s**t himself when Cain walked past, thinks he's untouchable but he's defo underestimating Mama bear Charity & protective Big Bro Cain."

While another fan mentioned they can now watch Emmerdale peacefully again knowing that Tom's downfall is imminent. They penned: "I can now watch #emmerdale again...Just saying!

"I was getting more & more angry watching the Belle & Tom storyline that I had to take a break from watching the only soap I really watch...Started watching again yesterday & the acting by 'Belle' & 'Charity' was award-worthy."

Belle has managed to escape the tight grip that Tom had on her. But he still longs to torture her and his currently dating Amelia, in hopes of making Belle jealous.
