After a 13-year wait, Space Marine's sequel is nearly here. Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 will be available tomorrow, September 5, for those who purchase the Gold or Ultra Editions for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, or PC. The standard edition launches Monday, September 9. Multiple preorder bonuses are up for grabs, and the physical Gold Edition comes with a steelbook case and bonus in-game content--but this edition is only available in limited quantities. Console versions of Space Marine 2 cost $10 more than their PC counterparts. That gap is actually even wider right now, as Fanatical is discounting Steam keys for all three editions ahead of launch.

If you're unsure if you want to buy the long-awaited sequel, we awarded it an 8/10 in our Space Marine 2 review-in-progress, calling it "a more-than-worthy successor to the 2011 original." We still need to spend some time with PvP when multiplayer servers are active before finalizing our review, but the hack-and-slash combat is satisfying and the sprawling world is well-designed.
