Coronation Street The Institute CEO 'is really a cobbles resident' - and fans have 'proof'
Coronation Street enthusiasts are speculating that the CEO of the cult, The Institute, might actually be a resident of the cobbles.
Earlier this year, the audience was introduced to the enigmatic "self-improvement group" The Institute, which is notorious for defrauding vulnerable individuals.
The cult, led by Rowan Cunliffe (portrayed by Emhrys Cooper), attracted the attention of Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson), who was enticed into joining. Recently, Amy Barlow (Elle Mulvaney) also became a member of the group.
Rowan and The Institute subsequently swindled Amy out of her £40,000 inheritance. A few months ago, Willow, the CEO of The Institute, made an appearance on the soap via a Zoom call.
At the time, viewers were convinced it was AI and that Willow was not the person they were seeing on screen. However, after Amy's exit from the group, Rowan contacted Willow in a panic, informing her of their predicament.

Fans reckon a resident is using AI to be Willow (Image: ITV)In an attempt to secure Leanne's loyalty, Rowan recently told her about Willow's significant investment of time and money into "changing" her life.
Now, fans are convinced that the person on the Zoom call was not actually Willow, but rather a resident of the cobbles, reports the Liverpool Echo.
Fans have speculated online that Willow could be the mysterious newcomer Kit Green (Jacob Roberts), who is using AI. This crooked cop arrived on the cobbles this year and has already caused quite a stir.

He's been throwing his money around, even buying a house for his sister Gemma (Dolly-Rose Campbell), and now fans are speculating that this could 'prove' his connection with The Institute.
On a Corrie Facebook fan page, viewers exchanged theories about the true identity of Willow. One person responded: "Kit." Another concurred, writing: "I thought that."
A different fan chimed in: "Yeah I did too as how would he have the money to buy Gemma and Chesney's house for them and another in red bank like he mentioned the other day."
Coronation Street airs Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 8pm on ITV1 and ITVX
