ABBA's Björn Ulvaeus compliments Antony Costa

Blue popstar Antony Costa was hailed as a "Greek god" during Wednesday's instalment of Loose Women.

The 43-year-old appeared alongside ABBA sensation Björn Ulvaeus to speak about his role as Nikos in Mamma Mia! The Party at the O2.

Praising his role, Bjorn said: "He is Nikos! He's lost some weight he looks like a Greek God, doesn't he?"

Thrilled by the compliment, Antony put his hand on Bjorn's shoulder and thanked him.

Charlene White joked: "If I say it, I'll get into trouble so I'm glad you've said it, Bjorn!"

Speaking about their experience at the extravaganza, Janet Street-Porter joked she was worried about Antony's safety with the women.

The ABBA star chimed in: "Especially now he's lost the weight!"

As the audience burst into laughter, Antony told the panel he was doing a scene recently where one woman got a bit carried away.

He explained she got her phone out and was making suggestive noises while filming him.

Antony added: "I'm trying to stay in character! You know, it's crazy but it is a party. It is so amazing."

During the show, Brenda Edwards questioned how it felt to sing in front of the ABBA star when auditioning for the role.

He revealed that he had gone to see the show beforehand and was asked by the director if he wanted to be in it.

However, he told them that he'd only star in the show if he went through the usual audition process.

Once his tape was sent to Bjorn and the rest of the team, Antony confessed he didn't think he'd get the role.

He told the panel: "Got a call the next two or three days saying I'd got the gig. It was great!"

During the show, the ABBA star teased there could be another film on the way as he told the Loose Women stars: "Mamma Mia three? I'm not ruling it out. Who knows, who knows there's a lot of enthusiam about that."

Loose Women continues weekdays on ITV from 12:30pm.
