The Chase's Anne Hegerty issues plea to fans ahead of 15th anniversary episode
Anne Hegerty, known as The Governess on The Chase, has made a heartfelt appeal to the show's fans ahead of its 15th anniversary episode.
The 66-year-old quiz expert appeared on Loose Women alongside her co-star Shaun Wallace, also known as the Dark Destroyer, on Monday (September 2) to discuss the significant milestone for the popular quiz show.
In a unique twist for the special episode, four contestants who all share the same name as the chasers will face not one, but two quiz experts in a major shake-up of the show's format.
However, the conversation soon shifted to the upcoming National Television Awards where The Chase is set to compete against Loose Women. Anne humorously remarked: "You beat us last year and we're not having that again.Shaun added: ".
Shaun chimed in with: "You've got two chances, slim and none.", reports the Mirror.

Anne then added: "We're up for Best Daytime against you lot, and various other people, and Beat The Chasers is up for Best Quiz or Game Show and Bradley is up for Best Presenter so everyone please get behind us and vote."
A new trailer for Monday's episode features host Bradley Walsh saying: "These four people have never met before but by working together as a team they have the chance to win thousands of pounds! Today, two things are standing in their way. Two Chasers. The Chase double trouble is on."

The Chase's loyal followers were sent into a frenzy when an Instagram post showed contestants named Darragh, Jenny, Anne, and Paul eagerly waiting to discover which quiz maestros they'd face. Uploaded on Friday (August 30) on the show's official account, it sparked rampant speculation in the comments.
One fan gushed: "Love how the contestants names are Chaser names...well played everyone." Another chimed in: "Can't wait to watch, the two chasers must be Shaun and Mark, the first two chasers."
Another viewer expressed anticipation by commenting: "Can't wait for this then," while someone else predicted: "I bet Mark and Shaun are the Chasers."

Traditionally, only one chaser is featured per episode aside from some special editions. Yet, to celebrate the 15th anniversary with a flourish, the producers have opted to bring two chasers into the battlefield for a singular blockbuster episode.
Loose Women airs weekdays on ITV1 and ITVX at 12.30pm and The Chase airs weekdays on ITV1 and ITVX at 5pm
