This Morning turns tense as Lauryn Goodman and Cat Deeley clash over Kyle Walker kids

TM: Lauryn Goodman says she doesn't regret having kids

Lauryn Goodman was caught in a tense exchange with Cat Deeley as the This Morning presenter questioned whether she would change anything involving her relationship with Kyle Walker.

The reality star, 33, joined Cat and Ben Shephard on Monday's instalment (August 2) of the ITV show in her first interview since appearing in court with Kyle.

The duo were locked in a bitter court battle after Lauryn made an application for greater provision for their children. The Manchester City player, 34, who has four sons with wife Annie Kilner, is the father of Lauryn's four-year-old son, Kairo, and her one-year-old daughter, Kinara.

Of the situation, Lauryn, who is joining the cast of Celebs Go Dating, told the presenters: "It's been quite difficult, I'd say emotionally and the heaviness of it has been really difficult to handle."

Cat probed the mother-of-two about the outcome, asking: "How do you feel about the position you are in at the moment?", leading a confused Lauryn to respond: "In what sense?"

The 47-year-old said: "It feels as though it's complete turmoil. Is it where you wanted it to be? Where do you see this going?" Lauryn confessed she'd hoped to handle their court case in private, noting: "It didn't go that way."

Ben, 49, went on to ask Lauryn if she has any regrets about "any of the things" that brought her children into her life. "I can't say that I have any regrets because my children are my world," she defiantly said.

The Tipping Point host interjected: "If you could go back and do things differently?" Lauryn jumped in: "But then my children wouldn't be here. They wouldn't be who they are."

Lauryn said she never anticipated having a second child with Kyle, but claimed she will always tell her children the truth about their father. The influencer admitted she "blocks the noise out" when she is targeted by trolls because she wants to be the best version of herself for her children.

In response to this, Cat queried: "Would you say you've been the best version of you so far, in the situations that you've found yourself in? Or in hindsight would you have done things slightly different? I'm not talking about your children, I'm talking about how you personally have handled the situation and your actions. Would you have done anything differently?"

Lauryn replied: "I think no one's perfect in life and obviously hindsight is a wonderful thing, so I don't even know. There are maybe things that I would probably change but we are where we are now."

At the end of the two day court hearing, the judge claimed Lauryn used her daughter's birth as "leverage" over Kyle to ensure her financial demands were met. She was branded an "unreliable" witness in the 30-page document and accused of tailoring her evidence to suit her case.

The judge concluded by rejecting the majority of Lauryn's financial demands, including her £33,000 request for air conditioning and her wish of a trust fund to cover Kairo and Kinara's nursery and school fees.
