Scrubs star Zach Braff breaks silence on reboot rumours with five word response

Today: ‘Scrubs’ Cast Reunites 10 Years After Show’s Finale

Iconic medical drama series Scrubs was a rage in the noughties and fans were left devastated when it's nine-year run ended in 2010. However, the show has been in the headlines again as of late with rumours that a reboot could be happening.

The show's creator Bill Lawrence previously set tongues wagging by telling The Independent: "We’ve been talking about it. We all spend time with each other in real life, but everybody is so talented from that show that they’re all working.

"We’ve really started to entertain the idea about getting the band back together because we all feel like we do have some stories to tell. It’s been a crazy rough time, so I would not be surprised if we figure something out in the next six months to a year."

Now lead star of the show, Zach Braff has broken his silence on the hit series potentially returning to our television screens. He recently expressed to Entertainment Tonight: "I’m gonna tell you something that nobody else is gonna get.

"Scrubs is a Disney show. Bill [Lawrence] has a Warner Bros. deal. Once those two companies figure that out, I think the people will get what they want. I think it’s gonna happen." The comedy series followed the lives of employees at the fictional Sacred Heart Hospital and aired on NBC, later ABC.

The main cast for all but the last season consisted of Zach, Sarah Chalke, Donald Faison, Neil Flynn, Ken Jenkins, John C. McGinley and Judy Reyes.

Over its nine-year run, it featured multiple guest appearances from film actors, including Brendan Fraser, Heather Graham, Colin Farrell and Michael J. Fox.

The season eight finale was filmed as the show's final season, but it was eventually revived for a ninth season.

But the last season moved to a medical school instead of a hospital and introduced brand new cast members.

Out of the original cast from season one, only Zach, Donald and John remained for the duration, with the other main cast members returning for guest appearances.

Fans have been flocking to Reddit to share their excitement about the potential reboot as one enthused: "I’m ‘bout nine, nine and a half on the excitement scale!" (sic)

Somebody else expressed: "Yes, yes, yes. Bill Lawrence remains a top-notch writer and if he feels there’s stories for these characters, I am jacked and pumped to watch. REUNION FIVE!"
