Jonathan Nyati is the actor behind the character of George Knight's long-lost brother Kobina from Ghana, but what other roles has he played?

Earlier this year, George Knight, portrayed by Colin Salmon, was shocked to discover that the man his adoptive father Eddie (played by Christopher Fairbank) had brutally killed when he was just 15, was in fact his biological father.

As he continues to grapple with life after the loss of Eddie and his late mother Gloria (Elizabeth Counsell), family friend Angela (Susan Auderin) informs George that his brothers Kobina (Jonathan Nyati) and Kojo (Dayo Koleosho) are in London.

They are eager to finally meet their brother, but how will they react upon learning that George witnessed their father's death all those years ago?

As Kobina and Kojo make their first appearance on the BBC soap, viewers are curious about where else they might have seen actor Jonathan Nyati.

Jonathan Nyati, a new face to EastEnders, has been acting on screen since 2012, with his debut role in the Sean Bean thriller film Cleanskin.

He subsequently appeared in several short films before landing a minor role in the 2018 BBC drama Bodyguard, where he worked alongside Richard Madden and Keeley Hawes.

Nyati played one of the plain-clothes officers, known as MASTS (Mobile Armed Support to Surveillance Officers).

Following this, he secured roles in a variety of shows including Doctors, My Left Nut, Breeders, Motherland, This Way Up, Desperate Measures, War Of The Worlds, Treason and Bodies.

His most notable performances include playing Charles Siziba in Ted Lasso and portraying Barack Obama in the 2020 docu-series First Ladies.

Recently, Nyati appeared in the drama Insomnia alongside Line Of Duty's Vicky McClure, where he played an ICU consultant.

According to his IMDb page, it remains uncertain what the actor's next project will be, with EastEnders listed as his most recent work.
