This Morning in huge shake-up as presenter return confirmed after 'long break'

This Morning unveils new promo

This Morning has whipped fans into a frenzy with the surprise announcement that four beloved presenters are set to make a grand return next week.

The ITV daytime favourite kicked off Tuesday (August 27) on a high note, with Craig Doyle and Sian Welby at the helm while regulars Cat Deeley, Dermot O'Leary, Alison Hammond, and Ben Shephard enjoy their summer hiatus.

However, the quartet is slated to reclaim their presenting duties on the show come next Monday.

Viewers were treated to a dazzling new intro featuring the hosts donning vibrant suits as they confidently paraded atop the ITV building's roof.

This Morning's editor, Martin Frizell, praised the promotional team's ingenuity and effort, stating: "Full credit to our promo team for this idea and execution. I know that it was no mean feat getting a rather large sofa and four hosts up on the roof during one of the hottest days this summer!"

Frizell expressed his enthusiasm for the returning team, saying: "We all couldn't be more excited to welcome back Ben, Cat, Alison and Dermot post their summer break, and I know all had great fun filming this promo. Their energy certainly matches the fresh and bold content the show has coming up."

Sian Welby shared with viewers: "Now listen, we've all had the best time keeping you company throughout the summer, and as you've just seen from our brand new shiny promo, Alison, Dermot, Ben and Cat will be back next week," reports the Mirror.

Craig Doyle humorously added: "They certainly are. Now you may think the four of them go away for long summer holidays, but no, no. We keep them up on that roof and they just stay there all through the summer. We give them a tent and feed them. But we're gonna let them down for next week."

The revamped intro of #ThisMorning set tongues wagging among fans, one of whom took to social media to comment: "That #ThisMorning intro? What the hell is happening?" Meanwhile, another shared the same sentiment: "Can't get over the new This Morning intro but happy Alison and Dermot are coming back soon."

In a landmark move for the show, ITV has reported that the historic building "made history" when its presenters daringly ascended 45 feet to the rooftop for the promotional video, accompanied by the tune of Jungle's Talk About It. Significantly, it is the inaugural occasion that filming has occurred atop that particular roof.

Adding to the buzz surrounding the programme, This Morning has been shortlisted for a National Television Award in the fiercely-contested Best Daytime category.
