Platform 7: Jasmine Jobson stars in trailer for ITV drama

ITV’s four-part series Platform 7 aired on Monday night with viewers left saying the same thing as the first episode unfolded.

The show, which has been adapted from author Louise Doughty’s book, follows the story of a woman called Lisa (played by Jasmine Jobson).

It’s not long before people learn that there’s something amiss as Lisa is ignored by people surrounding her. The character, who wanders around in her pyjamas, learns she’s stuck at the train station where she died.

Despite not knowing anything about her past, or how she came to her demise, parts of her memory start to return in fragments. During the show, Lisa saw her parents and ex-partner return to her place of death to try and lay flowers down.

As she follows them out of the station, Lisa returns to her old home as she starts to question why she decided to end her own life. However, as the episode aired it wasn’t long before people watching took to Twitter to share their thoughts.

People watching believe there could be more to her former boyfriend Matty (Toby Regbo) who is now living in her old flat.

One person said: "He pushed her."

Another person commented: "The boyfriend #platform7 is giving me Joel from #Corrie vibes."

Someone else tweeted: "Looks decent so far it'll probably turn out that her BOYFRIEND was one dodgy fella! #Platform7."

"I'm guessing that the boyfriend will turn out to be a serial killer," suggested another.

One person wrote: "Controlling boyfriend but no one believed her?

Speaking to Express.co.uk before the series first aired last year, actress Jasmine Jobson, who stars in Netflix‘s Top Boy, revealed what it was that first attracted her to playing Lisa.

She said: “For me, at first it had to be the supernatural bit!

“There’s something about being a spirit and being around people without their knowledge but being able to play about with them when you’ve irritated you.

“It’s something about the haunting, that I was like, ‘You know what, I love it!’ So, that was the main hook for me, it was about the haunting side of things.

“When it came down to the actual script, I haven't played anybody like Lisa before.”

Platform 7 continues this week on ITV from 9pm.
