The cast of One Piece season two is set to welcome the talented Charithra Chandran in the role of Miss Wednesday.

Netflix continues to navigate through the high seas of fantasy with its adaptation of the celebrated Japanese manga, One Piece, which launched to wide acclaim last year. They are now eagerly working on new episodes in South Africa.

Joining Bridgerton sensation Chandran is a star-studded lineup including Katey Sagal from Futurama as Dr. Kureha; The Big Bang Theory's very own Mark Harelik stepping into the shoes of Dr. Hiriluk; Heroes icon Sendhil Ramamurthy portraying Nefertari Cobra; Brendan Sean Murray of Raised by Wolves fame as Brogy; and Late Night with the Devil actor David Dastmalchian as Mr. 3.

The series also welcomes newcomers Callum Kerr, Camrus Johnson, Clive Russell, Daniel Lasker, Jazzara Jaslyn, Julia Rehwald, Rob Colletti, Ty Keogh, and Werner Coetser, complementing the talents of returning cast members Inaki Godoy, Mackenyu, Emily Rudd, Jacob Romero, Taz Skylar, Ilia Isorelys Paulino, Jeff Ward, and Michael Dorman.

Chandran took to social media to address the devoted One Piece fans, sharing her enthusiasm in a friendly video message, reports the Manchester Evening News.

"Hey guys! " she beamed. "I am so excited to be joining the cast of One Piece and I feel incredibly grateful to [creator] Oda Sensei for trusting me with the role of Vivi. I know how much she means to all of you and I am going to work my hardest to do her justice and make you all proud. See you soon!"

A description for Miss Wednesday reads: "Her past is shrouded in secrecy... but her skills as a Baroque Works agent are unmatched. She will stop at nothing to do her justice."

The first season of this swashbuckling adventure has earned an impressive 85% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

"Given everything stacked against it, it's pretty impressive how much Netflix's version fits into such a short season, and it'll be a relief for novices and die-hard fans alike that the end result is an enjoyable summer binge-watch," penned TheWrap critic Kayleigh Donaldson.
